What Really Happened to Courtney Townsend

This week, a year after first covering the truly baffling disappearance of Courtney Townsend, we're revisiting it again.
We knew there was bodycam footage from the police officer in Hurricane, UT, who stopped Courtney for speeding, and we heard some of the details. Thankfully, her family was able to get the bodycam footage, and we can speak to it more directly now.
There are some very strange aspects to that video, and so much is questionable about the case in general.
- With two jurisdictions, one for the "arson" of the car (Kane County), and one for the missing person case (St George), there was built-in confusion. The two departments did not seem to work together at all
- Why wasn't there an initial search near Duck Creek?
- Why would the police department mention Courtney's personal struggles in the context of her disappearance? The two have nothing to do with one another.
and on and on. It's long past time that Courtney's case was given the proper attention and investigation.
