The Murder of Tabatha Tozzi

Justice for Tabatha Tozzi: The Las Vegas Murder Still Waiting for Answers
In April 2023, 26-year-old model and entertainer Tabatha Tozzi was shot and killed in Las Vegas. Her alleged killer—then-boyfriend Oswaldo “Nate” Perez-Sanchez—fled the scene and has been on the run ever since.
In Episode 73 of Sins and Survivors, we cover Tabatha’s story: a young woman with a bright future, a loyal circle of friends, and a huge online following who became the victim of a deadly act of domestic violence. Nearly two years later, her family is still fighting for justice, and Perez-Sanchez remains a wanted fugitive.
A Rising Star in the Las Vegas Nightlife Scene
Born in Japan and raised in Las Vegas, Tabatha was a fixture in the local nightlife and modeling community. She worked at ZAI Las Vegas on Fremont Street and built a strong following on Instagram, where she posted not only glamorous photos but also poetry, inspirational messages, and charitable initiatives.
She was a graduate of Cimarron-Memorial High School and esthetician school, and friends described her as radiant, compassionate, and empowering. But behind the scenes, her relationship with Perez-Sanchez had reportedly turned controlling—and, ultimately, violent.
“I'm afraid of what he might do.”
In the days leading up to her death, Tabatha confided in friends and family that she was trying to leave her boyfriend. On the morning of April 22, 2023, she called her mother to say she needed help. Minutes later, Perez-Sanchez allegedly shot her in front of a friend.
Tabatha was rushed to UMC Trauma and placed on life support. Two days later, she died surrounded by loved ones. In a final act of generosity, she became an organ donor—her family believes her gifts may have saved dozens of lives.
A Killer on the Run
Despite having an eyewitness, Las Vegas Metro Police took 10 days to name Perez-Sanchez as a suspect. That delay gave him a critical head start—and to this day, he hasn’t been located.
He is now wanted for open murder with a deadly weapon, domestic violence-related coercion, robbery, and grand larceny. The FBI is offering up to $30,000 for information leading to his arrest, and the U.S. Marshals are offering an additional $3,500.
Perez-Sanchez has several distinctive tattoos, including one of Tabatha’s face that he reportedly got before they began dating. Authorities believe he may be hiding in California or Mexico.
Tabatha’s Legacy
Tabatha’s mother, Regina Lacerda, has become an outspoken advocate for victims of domestic violence. She’s led vigils, organized protests, and vowed to fight “until my last breath” to bring her daughter’s killer to justice.
Domestic violence remains a leading cause of homicide in Las Vegas. In 2023, rates rose sharply, and in North Las Vegas, more than half of all murders were domestic violence-related.
How You Can Help
Tabatha’s story is a heartbreaking reminder of how dangerous domestic abuse can become. Her loved ones continue to ask the public to share Perez-Sanchez’s photo, spread awareness, and call in tips—no matter how small.
